From the RJRegan campaign... Robert Regan for State Rep 74th District Anthony was threatened (elsewhere) for supporting me. His reply: Interestingly, you write that Mr.. Regan, winner of the primary election 74th District, made disturbing comments but you fail to say what they were. Isn't that being manipulative on your part? Why don't you write me back here, where the public can see, and include word for word, exactly what Mr. Regan said that is disturbing to you. That way we can have a public exchange in an intelligent way, instead of you just telling me that Regan made disturbing comments. Because if you get disturbed by the truth then that's your problem. However if Regan said things that are offensive that's his problem. So, again, why don't you respond right now, word for word? Then we can add you to the list of brave people who are making claims about what he said and are willing to be known as being offended by whatever it is he said. I'm very curious. Then I know what offends you, at least. After that, I'll let you know what I plan on doing. Other than that it's impossible for me to respond. Does that make sense to you? I'm assuming that you're an American, giving you the benefit of the doubt, and not a trolling communist. So you'd know how important it is to be accurate about somebody in making public statements about them. The law requires people to be responsible for public claims about others. Otherwise our country would be reduced to a place where anyone with a big mouth who knows how to stretch the truth, manipulate facts, and drop innuendo, would have the power to make policy. That would be a terrible place to be, don't you agree? So please get back to me as soon as you can. I assume Regan upsets most communists, pro abortionists and lovers of rigged voting? Are you any of the aforementioned? Do tell what disturbs you. Then I'll know more about what kind of man you are and what offends you. And one might assume also, that your reference to my name, picture listed on his website being a condition, that, as you say "might seem in Mr DiMaggio's best interests to remove...", is a veiled threat and not an altruistic overture. So you should clarify that because if I consider it a threat, you will be the first entry on a new list of people who are dangerous, and that's not a good place for you to be if you don't belong there. Other than that, I look forward to your publishing what was offensive. If you don't, then you are obviously a coward who loves gossip and misinformation. We told you PEOPLE NOT POLITICIANS (aka: Prop-2) was a farce... We told you that it was NOT JUST MICHIGAN, that Soro's was pouring money, on behalf of Democrats, IN STATES THAT THE LEGISLATURES CONTROLLED BY REPUBLICANS (and only those States, you didn't and won't see this GO-AROUND in any BLUE STATE) was for a reason - and that reason was to STEAL the redistricting process from LEGISLATORS (as outlined in LAW or CONSTITUTION of most States) and put it in the hands of BOARDS/COMMITTEES they could, lie, cheat, steal, control over, in order to GERRYMANDER ADDITIONAL BLUE DISTRICTS! Now, they finally admit it... [see related: https://beforeitsnews.com/the-law/2018/11/michigan-2018-prop2-ballot-initiative-will-not-end-gerrymandering-2457992.html] from.... info@democraticredistricting.com Subject: “There has been a redistricting turnaround” The media is starting to catch on to the fact that our efforts to stop Republican's are having an impact. It’s about time! For years now, the NDRC has been working hard to prepare the public and policymakers for redistricting [Editor note: I added the emphasis (and let me correct their "prepare" term to what it really was/is "propganda, manipulation, lies" in order to CONTROL (which is what they seek in everything. POWER to ensure they always have favor/advantage by expanding liberal DEEP STATE into any and all things], help win elections, and put the pieces in place to secure fair ["fair" (see: https://www.12cdrc.org/forum/general-other-discussions/define-fair-back-to-clinton-speak-depends-on-what-the-definition-of-is-is elsewhere on this site) by which they mean GERRYMANDERING IN FAVOR OF DEMOCRATS] maps. So while we’re not “surprised” that our strategy [read: thievery] is working, we are incredibly grateful to this community for giving us the resources to make it happen. Will you make a donation to help us keep up the fight? Here’s a recap of some of the latest victories in the fight for fair maps: • States like Michigan [GOP Legislature had their Constitutional Rights to create the maps stolen], New Jersey, and California [lol, they tossed in 2 100% DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED STATES as a dodge, meanwhile they flood the other red/purple States they used the same PROP-2 FARCE like they did Michigan with the same email with "THAT-OTHER-STATE-NAME" in place of where "Michigan" is that they are gerrymandering to Democrat favor as their only hope to stave off the RED WAVE coming in 2022 and 2024 (as well, of course, with stepped-up VoterFraud efforts (http://tinyurl.com/FascricratsVoterFraud))] have adopted fair maps. • In many states where Republicans have [LEGAL AUTHORITY TO DRAW DISTRICTS] gerrymandered, voters have filed lawsuits. [NOTICE, how they conveniently FILED LAWSUITS IN MICHIGAN against their own Commission to try and uphold UNCONSTITUTIONAL "majority minority Districts" gerrymandering (direct violation of "equal protections" and demand still MORE BLUE SEATS be gerrymandered in MI] • And the U.S. Department of Justice sued Texas over its gerrymandered maps. [Suing TX that actually UPHELD CONSTITUTIONAL districting, but TX is gaining an additional District, and they want to CHEAT their way into that being another BLUE SEAT despite TX being an overwhelmingly RED STATE] But, we’re still fighting for fair maps in important states like Pennsylvania, Florida, Kentucky, [the only HONEST statement they've made in this email, each of those States (again) HAVE GOP CONTROLLED STATE LEGISLATURES and they demand BLUE GERRYMANDERING despite they cannot win those State Legislatures to have the proper authority over districting] and more. Nearly 170 congressional district maps have yet to be enacted! So please don’t let up on your support -- we need to see this process through to the end. Will you pitch in now? If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: Donate $10Donate $20Donate $50Donate $100Donate $150Another amountThanks, Team NDRC [And, of course, what things always come down to, USE THEIR LIES TO RAISE MORE MONEY TO STEAL OTHER ELECTIONS WITH] Since 2017, the NDRC has executed a comprehensive redistricting strategy that shifts the redistricting power, creating fair districts where Democrats can compete. Our victories have been made possible by our strong community of grassroots supporters.MAKE A DONATIONIf you want to receive periodic updates from the NDRC on our fight for fair maps, text MAPS to 36787. Text HELP for help, STOP to end. Msg & Data rates may apply. We know we send a lot of emails, but we think it's important to keep you updated with the latest information on Republican [rather than meeting the demands for Democrat favored cheating] gerrymandering and voter suppression [they still keep these LIES going despite 70% of ALL AMERICANS supporting VOTER ID so ALL LEGAL PEOPLE CAN/DO VOTE but people CANNOT CHEAT (see: https://www.12cdrc.org/forum/legislation/hr1-unconstitutionally-federalizing-all-elections)] and how we're fighting [read: cheating, cuz we cannot win obeying the laws] back -- regardless of whether you choose to donate. NOTE: We hope to have a couple PCs at the MICD12GOP Christmas Party (2021 MICD12GOP Hanukkah/Christmas Fellowship Dinner Tickets, Sun, Dec 19, 2021 at 4:00 PM | Eventbrite) at/on our Literature Table that will be already displaying the MICRC comment site so that people can make comments... The MIGOP sent out an Official position update, but I am sharing (just for sake of covering aspects and concerns of/from other GOP outlets in our State regarding the process) KENT COUNTY GOP email blast.... From: chairman@kentgop.org Sent: 11/22/2021 12:30:18 PM Eastern Standard Time Subject: URGENT: Redistricting Commission Releases Final Proposed Maps Ronald -- The Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission (MICRC) has released its final proposed draft maps for public consideration. As the State Constitution requires a 45-day public engagement period for the proposed maps, the public is given the opportunity to provide comments on each of the plans. The Commission is scheduled to reconvene on Thursday, December 30th to take a final vote on which plans to adopt. As a reminder, the Commission is tasked with drawing the maps of Michigan's Congressional Districts, State Senate, State House of Representatives. The Commission is currently seeking comment on the following proposed maps: Congressional Chestnut Birch Apple Lange Szetela State Senate Cherry Palm Linden State House of Representatives Pine Magnolia Hickory Of the five Congressional District maps, the Michigan Republican Party is supporting the Birch plan and it is the best map for Kent County. It keeps Kent County whole within one Congressional District, without splitting it up and including different metropolitan areas of the state like the Chestnut Plan does with Muskegon and the Apple Plan does with Kalamazoo. The Lange plan is also a good plan because it keeps Kent County whole within one congressional district and includes neighboring municipalities of counties that identify with the Grand Rapids metropolitan area. It is also the only plan presented thus far that keeps both Kent and Ottawa counties whole within their own congressional district. The three State Senate and three State House plans each have the same map configuration for Kent County. The Michigan Republican Party is supporting the Palm State Senate Plan and Mangolia State House Plan. These plans can use some tweaks for Kent County, CLICK HERE to view suggestions on how the Commission can draw these better. This is our LAST opportunity to use our voice to make an impact on which of the three plans for each the Commission adopts. Please consider doing the following TODAY to help us in our mission to get the Commission to adopt fair maps: 1. COMMENT ON PROPOSED MAPS: Comment on the Birch Congressional District Plan and Lange Congressional District Plan stating your support. Comment on the Chestnut Congressional District Plan and Apple Congressional District Plan stating your opposition. To find talking points you can use in your comments, CLICK HERE. Also, comment on the Palm State Senate Plan and Magnolia State House Plan stating your support and changes you would like the Commission to incorporate for your respective districts. To find talking points you can use in your comments, CLICK HERE. 2. PROVIDE WRITTEN TESTIMONY: CLICK HERE to submit a written comment in the public comment portal, for your area. State your support of the Birch and/or Lange Congressional District Plans and why you favor them. Discuss your home's respective State Senate and House of Representative district maps and how the Commission can further strengthen these. The plans the Commission votes to adopt on December 30 are the FINAL maps for the next 10 years. This is the single most important thing we can all do to prepare for the 2022 election cycle. Please contact me with any questions. Sincerely, Mike Sullivan Political Director, Kent GOP

----- Forwarded Message ----- From: Scott McClallen | The Center Square Sent: Tuesday, December 7, 2021, 02:45:58 PM EST Subject: Michigan redistricting committee won't release legal memos Michigan redistricting committee won't release legal memos By Scott McClallen | The Center Square (The Center Square) – On a 7-5 vote, the Michigan Independent Citizen’s Redistricting Commission (MICRC) chose to preserve attorney-client privilege and continue hiding memos discussed in a controversial October closed-door session. It’s still unclear what commissioners discussed. More than a month later, Michiganders still don’t have answers from a commission that touts transparency and the Constitution mandates “shall conduct all of its business at open meetings.” The MICRC has rejected a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests from conservative group Michigan Rising Action (MRA), despite a nonbinding opinion from Attorney General Dana Nessel that it “must” release the memos. MICRC spokesman Edward Woods III told The Center Square in an email that the MICRC followed its legal team’s advice. “In an open and transparent manner, the Commission will continue to fulfill its mission of drawing fair maps through public engagement for Michigan’s Congressional, State Senate, and State House districts,” Woods said in a statement. Committee attorneys said if the MICRC waives attorney-client privilege, they might not be able to reinstate it. "It would be an extraordinary thing to do," Commission Counsel David Fink said, the Detroit New reported. "It would be effectively taking away your ability [sic] get good counsel." On Thursday, the Senate unanimously approved Senate Bill 728 to ban the MICRC from meeting in a closed session for any purpose. Sen. Ed McBroom, R-Vulcan, said the MICRC was taking "enormous liberties" with the Constitution whether it can meet in closed session. "The Constitution doesn’t say they operate under the Open Meetings Act," McBroom said in a phone interview. "It says they shall have open meetings. So I’m just striving to make it abundantly clear that the Open Meetings Act is not their source of authority for having these closed sessions or from withholding documents from people.” FAIR Maps Executive Director Tony Daunt demanded the commission release the hidden memos. “The Redistricting Commission is hiding evidence from the public, because it would reveal the lengths they’ve gone to disenfranchise minority voters,” Daunt said in a statement. “The Commission illegally held a closed-door session, in direct violation of the state’s constitution, to discuss their efforts to disenfranchise African-American and other minority communities and to violate the Voting Rights Act. MIGOP Communications Director Gustavo Portela also criticized the redistricting committee. “The Michigan redistricting commission reached a new low today openly violating the Michigan Constitution,” Portela said in a statement. “The legislature and the Attorney General have called on the commission to be transparent and they have refused. This commission has not only tainted the process by which voters will be represented for the next decade, they have lost the public’s trust.” In a floor speech, Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich, D-Flint, said he was voting for the bill but still believes the MICRC is an improvement to the previous map-drawing process. “The Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission on its worst day is still a million times better for the people of Michigan than the best day of the old system, where Republicans drew the map in secret,” Ananich said. “Zero public hearings. Zero public input." Scott McClallen Staff Reporter The Center Square #MICRC #ReDistricting #Law #Violations #OpensMeetingsAct #Transperency

[UPDATE from S.Foster, MIGOP, via email] Attention everyone! I truly appreciate all your help so far as the redistricting process is moving into its next phase. The preliminary maps are being drawn and there will be a second round of public hearings to let citizens voice their opinions. While the first round of hearings were important, the next round is even more critical. We need every single person involved, whether it is submitting a public comment, attending via zoom, or in person. In person commentary is critical, so please make every effort to attend a meeting. All you have to do is look at the proposed maps to understand how vital these upcoming hearings are The first public forum is happening on Monday, October 11th and will continue through October 28th. I have created a google form for people to officially sign up to participate. Once you sign up, we will send you a link to participate in an upcoming training. You can participate by attending in person (our preferred course of action as the Commission will be giving speaking preference to those who are in attendance) and/or by written comment. There is a feature in the google form that will allow you to decide which option works best for you. Again, in person commentary is critical. We ask that you follow up your in-person comments by submitting your comments in writing via the portal. You can sign up for one of the following forums by clicking on the link below: 2nd Round of Public Hearings (google.com) *Please note that this form is only letting us know which hearing you would like to participate in. You still need to register for your desired forum. You do not have to live in the area to participate. You can attend any meeting and comment on any area. We will be holding informal zoom trainings to discuss these hearings over the coming weeks and will be able to answer any questions you might have. Once you have signed up on the Google form, we will give you more details on the Zoom training (these zoom links we will be sent to you on the day of the trainings). You can also participate in multiple trainings. I will remind you that these maps will be official for 10 years. I implore you to sign up!
